Sort incoming post into action, reference or disposal, with a review habit that stops papers travelling from one surface to another.

Separate live tasks from reference records and choose broad files that make bills, repairs and important documents straightforward to retrieve.

Keep dates, action papers and useful household notes together without turning a noticeboard into permanent storage for old messages.
